What is the role of metallurgical engineer in copper alloys plant.

I have 1 year of experience in the field of copper alloys plant. I was production engineer in Mehta Tubes Limited, Umbergaon, Gujarat. I want to share my experience as a Metallurgical engineer so if any Metallurgy field graduate and diploma metallurgy engineer want to work in nonferrous industries it will be helpfull for them. I was involve in the manufacturing of Copper related alloys such as ETC, DLP, DHP, CU-Ni, Brass, Cu-S, Cu-Te, Cu-Ar etc. My job was to monitor the process of manufacturing such as charging of raw materials like scrap in induction furnace, maintain current, maintain temperature of molten metal before casting, addition of master alloys, chemical analysis through spectromachine, calculations of addition of master alloys, operation of direct chill casting machine, cutting of billets, rejection analysis, preparation of mould, tundish, prepare reports of chemical analysis which I had to submit in quality department, manpower handling, supervising manpower, how to ad reject material in the induction furnace, give presentation to third party inspection, customers from reputed industries like godrej, whirlpool, gender from france, many customers from countries lile USA, Japan, Germany, European. So if any one like to work in such type industries as a fresher then definitely they should go. Although as a trainee I was not getting too much salary but any one who want to learn these industries are very good. Once you will get experienced you will earn handsome salary. The most of the final products are usually are tubes, copper bar, copper bushbars, strips, rod which mainly used for refrigeration, air-conditioned, heat exchanger, electrical equipments, medical gas pipelines systems, medical gas pipelines system, HVAC&R, confenser and automobile etc.
